Rice is in the cooker, and I let the rats out to play.
They're sweet girls, and I gave them each a cranberry while I watched the rain fall outside, light drops compared to the early morning storm.

Soon I'll put the water on for tea and miso.

Spring had come. I think in all the excitement recently, I've forgotten to give its due, because I see the leaves and smell the lilac and honeysuckle.
